Dr. Alan Sanders is pleased to call Thomasville
home. A native of Atlanta, Dr. Sanders fell in love
with South Georgia at an early age. His parents are
from Camilla, GA and he has many family members in
the region.
Dr. Sanders graduated in 1997 from Furman University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He was employed by Chase Manhattan Bank prior to beginning dental school. He received his DMD from Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2003. He completed a post-graduate residency in General and Hospital Based Dentistry at Medical College of Georgia Hospital and Clinics in 2004. In addition to advanced dental treatment, Dr. Sanders received training in operating room dentistry, sedation dentistry, implant dentistry, and medically compromised patient care during his residency. He participates in a significant amount of continuing education to stay current on the latest dental treatments.
Dr.
Sander's wife Laura, is originally from
Louisville, KY. As a young child, she moved to
Irmo, SC with her family. Alan and Laura began
dating while students at Furman University.
They have two children, Jay who is 7 years old
and Emily Anne who is 4 years old.
In his spare time, Dr. Sanders enjoys golf, playing drums and guitar, hunting, fishing, custom fishing rod construction and custom guitar construction.
